The Beautiful Disappointment: Discovering Who You Are Through the Trials Of Life"
In “The Beautiful Disappointment” Colin shares his personal struggles in dealing with the murder of one of his staff, the death of a child in his program and his own near death experience from a paralysing water accident. Throughout these ordeals the author slowly realizes that trials are “beautiful disappointments” God can use to purge us of all the false things we have allowed to disfigure who we truly are.
It is through this “refining by trials” that the author experiences the intimate presence of God, a presence in our soul that frees us to reconnect to who we truly are as God originally created us to be.

Red Letter Revolution.
if we did revolutions Jesus’ way...
The Red Letter Revolution is about a global movement of Christians who are taking the actions of Jesus and his exact words—the “red letters” in some versions of the Bible—seriously. Colin challenges his readers to join this movement by responding to the poverty, racism, economic disparity, violence, classism, sexism and all other forms of injustice and oppression all around us like Jesus did. Through biblical exposition, rousing stories and practical application, Colin demonstrates that we can follow the radical words of Jesus only with the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
This book draws our allegiance to the mission of Christ to the poor and oppressed and calls for us to act. It will truly challenge the way we view others and how we should respond to the oppression and injustice present in our world.

“Colin McCartney is a man of character, depth and wisdom who speaks with passion and relevance. As an event planner, I have worked with hundreds of communicators. Colin is a world-class communicator, one of Canada's very best, while also remaining approachable and real. His personal story makes him an overcomer, and his character is evident while on stage, but most importantly off the stage. He draws people to himself, and uses this talent to draw people towards a compelling vision of a better world.”

“Colin McCartney the kind of man you can trust behind your pulpit (or microphone): Colin’s mix of humour, real - life stories and biblical parallels makes for a very natural and compelling presentation. He is not there to make you comfortable he will, indeed, challenge his audience to choose the road less traveled. His obvious love for Jesus Christ and those whom Jesus loves is, quite frankly, contagious!”
—Captain Paul Simons, Ontario Regional Director, The Church Army in Canada (Anglican Church)
“We loved the manner in which Colin worked with our camp and the way he gave the message. His great desire is that all who hear will respond to the Gospel. Many young people responded to the messages Colin gave and many made commitments to follow the Lord. A number of them are maturing to become junior camp leaders for our camps here, as a result of him coming all this way. We highly recommend him as a speaker.”
—Martin Reurich, Founder and Director, Fitzroy Falls Conference Centre, Australia
