Curtis Carmichael, who grew up in Toronto Community Housing, will tackle the most difficult physical and mental challenge of his life this summer – his Ride for Promise. On July 10, 2017, he will begin cycling from Vancouver to Halifax – 3,300 km in 30 legs over 5 weeks – to tell his personal story of hope across the nation. Along the way, he’ll be stopping to talk with Canadians about the reality and impacts of growing up in government housing, and the importance of long-term relational investment in the lives of children and youth.
Join him in raising $150,000 so other children growing up in Toronto Community Housing can benefit in the same way.
All proceeds will be used to provide relational programs that address the needs of children growing up in some of Toronto's most under-resourced communities so they can develop their full potential, beginning with after school programs and seasonal day camps.
100% of your donation goes toward the programs because of the generosity of these and other project sponsors who have underwritten the cost of the trip across Canada.
