Restore Community Through Young Adult Leaders

Ongoing mentorship that helps young adults lead and multiply our impact in their workplaces, churches, and neighbourhoods.

Every community needs leaders who know it, love it, and are ready to give back to it.

For young adults in Toronto Community Housing, the transition into adulthood can be difficult. They carry real gifts, faith, resilience, and potential, but still face limited networks, uncertain career pathways, financial pressure, and the challenge of finding their place.

Without continued mentorship, opportunity, and community, even promising young leaders can feel stuck, isolated, or unsure how to move forward.

No young adult should have to step into the future alone.

A 20-Year Journey That Doesn’t Stop at 19

UrbanPromise Toronto walks with children from age five through young adulthood, helping them grow into young adult leaders who restore their communities.

Many of these young adults came to UrbanPromise through AfterSchool Programs and grew as StreetLeaders. Now, they’re discovering what it means to lead as adults in their workplaces, churches, families, and neighbourhoods.

They are exactly the kind of leaders their communities need: leaders shaped from within, rooted in faith, and ready to serve.

What Your Support Makes Possible: Leaders Who Give Back

Ongoing Mentorship for Life’s Next Steps

Young adults stay connected to trusted mentors who help them navigate work, school, faith, relationships, and leadership. Through coaching, post-secondary exploration, career guidance, and scholarship opportunities, they receive the support they need to keep moving forward.

Leadership in the Workplace

We help young adults grow as people of integrity wherever God places them. As they build professional skills, develop networks, and pursue meaningful work, they learn to lead with character, responsibility, and faith.

Leadership in the Church

Many young adults become active members and contributors in local churches. They bring energy, authenticity, faith, and deep community connection to the body of Christ.

Leadership in the Neighbourhood

Some young adults return to serve directly with UrbanPromise as staff, mentors, coaches, and role models for the next generation. Others lead in different ways throughout their communities. Wherever they go, they carry the mission forward.

You can help a young adult become the leader their community needs.

Give Monthly

A monthly gift sustains the long-term relationships, mentoring, staff, and support systems that make the full 20-year journey possible—from a child’s first AfterSchool Program to a young adult’s life of leadership.

Hire, Mentor, or Partner

If you are an employer, church leader, business owner, tradesperson, educator, or community builder, you can help open doors for young adults who are ready to grow. Your experience, connections, and encouragement can help a young leader take their next step.

Your support helps the 20-year journey reach its full promise.

When support stops too soon, communities can lose the very leaders who understand them best. Young adults with gifts, faith, and lived experience may drift away from their calling, miss key opportunities, or struggle to find a path forward.

But your support helps them move forward with confidence.

A young adult stays connected. A mentor helps them take the next step. A door opens. A leader grows in confidence, faith, and purpose. And over time, they restore the same communities where they were first known, loved, and formed.

Your support helps turn years of investment into a generation of leaders who restore their communities.
